Where Is Your Faith?

By Lynn White

Last time, we talked about salvation through faith in Christ. This time, let’s examine how salvation and faith work together.

According to the book of Ephesians, we are saved because of or faith and not because we did anything to deserve it.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

In our modern, practical life, we Christians mimic the world by depending on logical rational answers or what we can see or hear. No way do we ever want to be radical enough to trust in the miracle working power of God.

Listen to this challenging and yet encouraging word from the Lord in Mark Chapter 14.

“15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

So, you claim to be saved? Really? Then, where is your faith?
